Starfun FreedomCraft

Okay, said StarCrafting plans have a hit a bit of a snag.

I asked my mom if it was alright to have people over Friday for Starcraft while my dad was in the room, which was kind of stupid. See, not that it effects him at all since he's gone all Friday night (which is the reason I picked that night) but he likes to put in his two cents.

This time that two cents is "no you can't, that room downstairs isn't fixed yet."

With which I replied "yeah, Starcraft is a computer game, so we wouldn't be downstairs anyway."

His amazing reply was "There's not enough room downstairs anyway."

I don't think the recruiters of Mensa will be knocking on our door anytime soon. His reasons he gave my mom were "Andrew's only home for two weeks, he should do stuff with Stu." Well now that it's not going to be here, Stu can't play. Brilliant!

I think truth be told he just doesn't like company of any sort. Also, we're usually very loud.

So... if anyone else has a router and a willingness to host some nerdness, I'd still like to do a big old Starcraft LAN party come Friday night. If things change here, I'll let you know.

In other news, I'm going to try to play through the entire Prince of Persia series again while I'm home. Actually, I'd like to take this opportunity to claim that I can do it faster than Jordan, and make the open challenge to him. True, I have a three day head start, but I also have to contend with the fact that my dad took these two weeks off. That means he wants to play NHL 2004 with me, all the time. So far I have played PoP for 3.5 hours, and NHL 2004 for 7. I had to hide downstairs in the unfinished room until my dad went upstairs in order to play last night. Hide. In my own house.

Jordan should be just finishing up his last exam now, so hopefully he reads this challenge quick enough to respond to it. I know he has his own shall I say, impediment to video game playing, let's call her Sam. However, I still think this is a fair competition. If he wants, he could start with Warrior Within, since I'm going to be done Sands very shortly.

Fraser's joke title was my favourite so, it's going to be the name of this post. En taro Adun Mophead, may death come quickly to your enemies.

Yeah, embarrassingly enough, I may not be able to make Starcraft on Friday. I can't come at night because I've got holiday traditions that I forgot about. I should be home around noon, though, so if we can set something up somewhere that would be good.

Also, I would volunteer my own place, but things are sort of in holiday panic mode here and I can't be sure that it would actually be available.

All that being said, I've got Saturday booked off anyway to do LAN/Xbox with Andrew Bakes, so there's a possibility that we could get something going on with him / at his place. But that would be an afternoon thing again, due to more holiday traditions on my part.

Um, he is in school at noon on Friday. But sometime over the holidays he'll get his chance.
